We have developed strategic partnerships with a number of other businesses who also operate in the educational field each of which is aimed at bringing something useful to our core business and it’s customers.
Speaking Technically is managed by Paul Smith-Keitley and is a part of the Childrensworld UK group. Paul has over 30 years of experience with educational technology and is a member of the British Computer Society, a MicroSoft Innovative Educator and Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer. We make sure that each year the Out of School Clubs take part in projects like the ‘hour of code’ and that equipment in all the Childrensworld sites is kept up to date and working properly.
We use the OpenBadge system to provide certification for achievements. These are earned by children in our Out of School Clubs, staff working on various technology projects and through parents who are taking part in our 21st Century Skills training program provided through Speaking Technically.
Credly.com is the mechanism which we use to design, build and implement our OpenBadge project, as we grow the project beyond our own facilities we will be able to extend our offerings to other organisations and help them get their projects off the ground quicker. Credly hosts our badge sets and provides a simple to use mechanism to allow learners to claim credits for their achievements.
