At the moment both Club 0-14 (Shrewsbury) and Club 0-5 (Telford) nurseries offer Diddi Dance classes free of charge to children who attend on those days. Diddi Dance is a high energy music and dance programme aimed at teaching children from toddlers upwards balance and rhythm. Each term features a different music style and uses a different set of props to encourage children to join in. Club 0-14 also offers Tiddly Tots Yoga classes, while Club 0-5 has Welly Wednesdays and Baby Music ‘n Movement. All three nurseries feature community walks and access to Forest School sites for outdoor learning.
All three nurseries take advantage of our 5 star hygiene rated kitchen and it’s platinum healthy eating award for 2 course lunches and snacks. Lunches operate on a four weekly cycle with a wide range of food from around the world, religious and allergy dietary requirements are catered for.
All nurseries provide parental access to children’s progress reports via our Cloud based ‘Orbit’ EYFS tracking system. As well as enabling us to track your child’s progress in line with current EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) standards, it also provides a fantastic interface between parents and the nurseries. For example parents can see their child’s daily diary, they can read newsletters, message the nursery and even lets them upload photographs and observations.
We are currently in the process of rolling out a wireless tablet based network that will allow our nursery practitioners to update a child’s progress directly in the room, meaning they can not down observations in real time, while they are fresh in their minds. As a further part of this network we are creating a cloud music server which can be accessed via the tablets and played through wireless speakers in each room. Music will be available in a number of categories including, seasonal, ethnic and celebratory.
