I qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1998 and spent 15 years working at our Club 0-5 nursery, whilst at Club 0-5 I gained my level 4 Early Years qualification and my Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Services to extend my knowledge of Early Years, and to assist my role as the Nursery Manager.

I joined the team at ChildrensWorld Newport in June 2020. The nursery is very homely and filled with children’s’ laughter. 

Having contact with each child every day watching them learn, grow, and develop is a privilege, and seeing the relationships develop between the staff and the children is a delight.



The children are so caring, compassionate and show a real passion for learning, and thrive with challenges and new learning opportunities that they face.

Their resilience over the last year (2020) has amazed me, they have adapted to routine changes so well, there sense of belonging and security with the relationships they have at the nursery is one I can gain confidence from, knowing that they feel safe and happy, is something to be very proud of. 

Showing new parents around our nursery, answering questions, and reassuring them with the next big step into nursery life is one I feel very passionate about, ensuring that the transition from home back to work is made as easy as possible for parents and children is really important to me, as a parent myself I know only how difficult this can be and through having support and help through this process makes each day a little bit easier.
