From a very early age I decided I wanted to work with children, this was my goal when I was at school and I achieved that goal by being awarded my NNEB in 1999.

I started my career working in a small play group setting, this is where I was able to put into practice the skills, I had learnt at college, planning fun and developmental activities for children to engage in focusing on what their specific interests and needs were supporting them to develop and learn in a fun way.

During my time at Club 0-5 I have worked in all room, I have a good understanding of all the children within my care, planning fun activities supporting children to learn and develop through lots of experiences both indoors and outdoors. 

In December 2019 I felt the time was right to further develop my own career and I took the offer of promotion as Nursery Manager. I have gained a lot of new skills and knowledge within my role and I am able to put this into practice to support my team and the children to enhance their learning at the setting.
